Here’s the scoop: there’s absolutely no penalty to reschedule your session if Mother Nature decides to throw a tantrum. In fact, I encourage it. Because nothing kills the vibe faster than a soggy pup, a shivering human, or a camera lens fogged up like a hot shower mirror.
Sure, some dogs embrace the rain like it’s a personal challenge (looking at you, labradors), and sometimes that moody, misty PNW drizzle can add a cinematic touch to your photos. But before we go full “Notebook” in a muddy field, pause and consider a few things:
Is your pet going to be happy?
Are you going to be happy?
And will the final images reflect the kind of magic you had in mind when you booked your session?Remember—what gets captured is what happened. If your dog is soaked and muddy, I can’t Photoshop them back into a sunshine-soaked fluffball. Wet is wet. Rainy-day drama can be beautiful, but it’s got to be the right kind of beautiful for you.
So when in doubt? Let’s reschedule. Sunshine always comes back around.

First and foremost: safety is the sacred law of the land. If the idea of your pet off-leash makes your palms sweaty and your heartbeat resemble a techno track—don’t worry. Keep that leash on! I’m not here to test fate, chase bolting dogs, or summon chaos. I’m here to create magic, safely.
Thanks to a little post-session wizardry, I can easily make the leash disappear in your final images—poof! Gone. Like it was never there. The only thing I kindly ask? If possible, opt for a collar instead of a harness. Collars play much nicer with the edit fairies and help keep the final image clean and seamless.
So leash up, breathe easy, and let’s make something beautiful without any daring escapes.

I keep things intentionally cozy around here—just 100 sessions per year, max. That’s two per week, with plenty of time to make each one feel like the main event (because it is). You can book your session up to a year in advance, but most folks tend to jump in a few weeks to a few months ahead.
If you’ve got your heart set on the golden glow of spring blooms or the crispy-leafed magic of fall, here’s a friendly nudge: book early.
So once you feel that flutter in your heart and know this is something you want to do—go ahead and grab your spot. Future You (and your fuzzy co-star) will be glad you did.

Once our session wraps and your pup’s had their victory treat (or nap… or both), the magic heads into the next phase—the edit cave, where I lovingly cull and hand-edit each image one by one like the tiny masterpieces they are.
It’s not a rush job, it’s a ritual. A multi-step alchemy of light-tweaking, color-enhancing, leash-vanishing, background de-cluttering goodness. Think of it as giving every image a little spa day before it’s ready for the spotlight.
Turnaround typically takes 4-8 weeks, depending on the time of year and just how many head tilts we nailed. Because great art (and great pets) deserve a careful and thoughtful finish.

My photography style is rooted in photojournalism—capturing your pet exactly as they are, in moments that are real, poignant, and visually stunning (sometimes with a little tongue-out joy for good measure).
When we work together, there’s no pressure, no stress, and absolutely no expectations for your pup to behave like a show dog trained by angels. Whether your fuzzy friend is a dignified poser, a chaotic wiggle machine, or somewhere delightfully in between—I promise you this: we will create something beautiful.
Every image is handpicked and lovingly edited to honor the soul of the moment. The nuzzle. The glint in the eye. The way your dog looks at you like you hung the moon (because you did, obviously).
And yes, I guarantee it—you will love your images. Not because everything went perfectly, but because we captured something true. That’s the real magic of the moment.
